Losing a loved one is one of the worst experiences a person can go through. When you’re grieving, it may also feel overwhelming to be responsible for sorting out your late loved one’s final affairs.
Our Attercliffe probate solicitors are here to take the weight off and support you through the process. We can handle as much of the probate process as you need us to, whether you just need a bit of advice about where to start or you want us to handle the whole thing.
Our service includes:

Do you know who will inherit your money and property after you pass away? Your partner? Your children?
If you don’t leave a Will, you cannot control who will end up inheriting. Much of it may end up going to HMRC as Inheritance Tax. Some of your family, such as your partner if you are unmarried, could end up with nothing.
We know that thinking about your own mortality is difficult; you may also be worried about doing right by your family and not causing any upset. But taking the plunge and making your Will means you and your loved ones can get on with life with peace of mind.
Our friendly Will solicitors in Attercliffe offer a quick, convenient Will writing service to help you put your final affairs in order and make your estate as tax-efficient as possible.
We also offer a specialist trust creation and management service, allowing you ultimate control over who gets your money and how they use it, during your lifetime and after you die.
We can advise on:
- Single and mirror Wills
- Property protection Wills
- Business Owners Wills
- Lifetime trusts
- Long-term care issues
- Resolving estate matters after death
We can also securely store your Will for free.
Writing a Will protects your interests after you die, but what about during your lifetime? A Power of Attorney allows the people you trust the most to take care of your finances and your health & welfare if you lose your mental capacity or cannot manage your own decisions.
The future is a big question mark for us all, and while that does make life more exciting, it also means that we cannot foresee our challenges. An illness such as dementia, an injury, or simply old age – these are all reasons why you may become unable to make your own decisions later on.
Our Power of Attorney solicitors in Attercliffe can help you make a plan for every future possibility, putting in place a strong legal document that fully reflects your wishes and authorises your loved ones to provide the care you need when you need it.
In the absence of a Power of Attorney or necessary legal authorisation, we also assist people with Court of Protection applications.
Let us help you minimise the impact of an accident that wasn’t your fault. We can help you make a personal injury claim to obtain the compensation you need to restore your quality of life and make up for any financial loss.

We’ll work quickly to understand the impact of the accident on your life, ruthlessly negotiate with those responsible to secure a suitable settlement, and (if necessary) handle any court proceedings on your behalf.
We know that the impact of an accident, both physically and mentally, can be devastating. As well as helping you claim compensation, we are here to listen and signpost you towards any appropriate support services.
