Pennine Law Acquires Wosskow Brown Solicitors LLP, Forming a Strong Partnership

Pennine Law are delighted to announce its successful acquisition of Wosskow Brown Solicitors, a long-established and well-known legal practice with a rich history of providing exceptional services from owner-managed businesses to individual clients. This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone for both organisations and sets the stage for a dynamic future as they join forces to continue to serve their clients.

Effective from Monday, July 10th, 2023, the Wosskow Brown offices and staff will all operate under the name Pennine Law. Wosskow Brown Solicitors will continue to be recognised as a trading style of Pennine Law Limited, ensuring the continuation of their well-established reputation and client-focused approach.

By joining forces, Pennine Law gains access to Wosskow Brown’s extensive expertise, expanding their legal capabilities across a broader range of practice areas. The combined knowledge, experience, and shared values of both firms will enable Pennine Law to offer even more comprehensive and tailored solutions to their clients, reaffirming their position as a trusted and reliable legal partner and advisor.

Together, the two firms will utilise their combined skill sets to form several large departments within the firm enabling it to offer a wealth of legal expertise across a wide range of practice areas, including Corporate and Commercial, Insolvency, Commercial Litigation, Personal Injury, Property, Wills, Probate, Family Law and Agriculture.

Bill Hoyland will continue in his role as Managing Director and will head up the Property department alongside fellow director Gaynor Langdon. Ian Brown will lead the Private Client department alongside fellow director Julian Salt, whilst two new departments will also be created.

Jamie Brown will manage the Litigation department which will cover all aspects of dispute resolution and litigation work including personal injury claims. Established corporate solicitor and Insolvency Practitioner Jeremy Bennett will oversee the Corporate and Commercial team as well as develop a new restructuring, turnaround and insolvency offering to clients.

As part of the new management team, highly experienced Finance Director James Boyd will also be joining to oversee the financial side of the firm.
