We're Open in Lockdown

We’re Still Open in Lockdown

Following Boris Johnson’s speech last night (4th January 2021), Wosskow Brown Solicitors confirm that we are still fully operational. Throughout the coronavirus pandemic, and each lockdown, we have remained open for business.

We would like to reassure all our clients, both current and future, that we are here to help. Most of our staff will be working from home, but we will still have staff present in most of our offices. If you need to visit, we politely request that you call ahead first to ensure that the right people are in the office. We’d hate to see you have a wasted journey.

Our reception areas have been made COVID safe. However, in line with Government advice, we ask that you only travel where absolutely necessary. We are happy to continue to talk to you via email, telephone or video calls.

If you do visit our offices, we ask that you wear a face covering (unless exempt) and pay attention to the markings on the floor. Please give each other plenty of space. All our offices have hand sanitiser available, please use this when you arrive. If you are showing any symptoms of coronavirus, or are feeling unwell, please DO NOT visit our offices.

Can I Still Move House?

The housing market remains open. The Governments advice on moving house remains the same. You can still view properties, estate agents can still operate, and removal firms can still work as can tradespeople.

You should not enlist the help from anyone outside your household or support bubble to move house unless it is unavoidable. And you must ensure that you follow social distancing advice.

Our conveyancing team continue to work and will be progressing matters as swiftly as possible.

Writing a Will

We are still continuing to provide a Will writing service. Our offices will be open for Will signings, or we can even come to you and witness your signature from a safe distance. Please talk to our team to discuss the best solution for you.

We will continue to take your instructions over the phone, or even via a video call if you like. We can have a chat through your wishes and options before we draft your Will for you to approve.

Once you have approved your Will, we’ll arrange for you to visit our offices or for us to pop out to see you. Now we’re sorry that we can’t come in for a chat, we have to stay a safe distance apart. We will witness your Will signing from a safe distance either through a window or an open door.

Legal Services in Lockdown

All of our departments will be operational, giving you access to any legal service you require.

Whether that is seeking compensation for an accident or injury, advice on separation or divorce or even setting up a new business venture, we’re here to help you.

Please don’t hesitate to give us a call on 0114 256 1560, we’ll be open our usual opening hours.

Stay safe folks.
