The Swim England National Awards took place on Saturday 11th November at the University of Birmingham.
We at Wosskow Brown are extremely happy to hear that Sheffield Diving won the Performance Club of the Year Award.
Sheffield Diving have received support from our WB100 programme which consists of 20 hours of free support in kind giving, which is worth a total of £2500.
We’re proud to see this sports club succeeding and receiving acknowledgment for their hard work and talent, having helped them previously.
The award was presented by Sheffield’s own Olympic Swimmer, Ellie Faulkner.
Sheffield Diving is based at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, one of the best diving facilities in the UK. It has impressively produced at least one diver for every Olympic Games since 1992. In total, the role of honour consists of 12 Olympians and 55 senior and junior Internationals.
This high-standard group also provides a weekly lesson scheme and holiday camps which are open to everyone through the Learn to Dive programme.
Sheffield Diving is the only Home Country Development Centre in the UK. They offer a brilliant education and qualification programme for their own coaches and external coaches too.
The club is kindly run by a dedicated committee of parents and volunteers.
