Ruth Campbell

Paralegal

Ruth Campbell is a Supervising Paralegal working within the Dispute Resolution Team.

She works closely with Jamie Brown, the Partner and Head of Department in a wide range of areas including, Employment, Dispute Resolution, Business Legal Services, Debt Recovery, Insolvency and Landlord and Tenant Matters.

Ruth has a wealth of experience, having worked in the legal sector since 2003, predominantly as a Litigator in Crown Court criminal cases.

Alongside Jamie, Ruth undertakes a variety of jobs, including seeing new clients and taking new instructions, preparing matters for pre-litigation, and trying to settle before Court proceedings are issued. Ruth also prepares letters of claim to be served to the Court on all matters and is heavily involved in obtaining witness statements, preparing exhibits, and instructing Counsel when cases make it to the litigation stage. Furthermore, Ruth’s impressive range of work also involves all aspects of Business Legal Services, assisting Jamie in drafting documents and taking instructions from clients.

Ruth joined Wosskow Brown in 2020, bringing with her the experience of dealing with litigated matters and working closely with clients, other solicitors, and the Court system.

Ruth utilises her skills well, especially by applying her logical and technical approach to all cases and by being empathetic to all of her client’s individual circumstances, knowing that there is not a ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to clients.

She very much enjoys day-to-day contact with clients and preparing cases for litigation and Court proceedings.

Outside of work, Ruth enjoys spending time with her young family, going to their caravan on the Lincolnshire coast and going to the cinema. She has a love for live music and can’t wait until the music scene is back up and running properly. She’s a big Derby County fan and is also looking forward to being able to see live football.
