Matthew Law (yes, that’s his real name and quite apt for an aspiring lawyer) joined Wosskow Brown in mid 2021 as a Paralegal in our Commercial department. Matthew had previously worked at Wosskow Brown as a Law in Practice student during his studies at Sheffield Hallam University.
After graduating from his Law Degree at Sheffield Hallam University in 2020, Matthew went on to complete a Legal Practice Course (LPC) as well as a Masters in Law at the University of Law (Leeds Campus) in 2021. He is hoping that he can undertake a training contract at Wosskow Brown at some point in the near future.
Matthew is multi-skilled in his legal knowledge and can adapt himself to undertake work in Litigation, Dispute Resolution, Commercial Law, Insolvency, Employment and Commercial Property. His particular favourite area or law is Dispute Resolution and getting stuck in with research.
Away from his desk, Matthew plays guitar and sings backing vocals in a 5-piece band called ‘Karakana’. The band has a record deal with Eiger Studios, and can be found on your favourite music streaming service. They also play regular gigs and recently performed alongside Pete Doherty of The Libertines.
Matthew’s ideal holiday would be a road trip across America in a vintage Porsche 911. It comes as no surprise then that Steve McQueen would be the top of Matthew’s dinner guest list if he could invite anyone dead or alive. Other guests would be Jimi Hendrix, Al Pacino and Jeremy Clarkson.
Matthew also confesses to having terrible OCD and a penchant for FIFA on the PlayStation!
