Wosskow Brown has been recognised for the support it has given to the community over the last year.
Partners Ian Brown and Sally Mallinson joined a host of people from various communities at the recent Eid celebration party where Sheffield ’s Muslim community figureheads including the Imams of various mosques spoke about the importance of charitable contributions in the city today.
Mohammed Nazir, head of Wosskow Brown’s property department said “it is important that community events like this should continue” and spoke of his firm’s commitment to support the community. Having recently helped to raise over £500 for repairs needed at St Patrick’s Primary school, Wosskow Brown has also helped to improve sports facilities in the city and Mohammed supported the Radio Ramadan project, appearing weekly on Radio Ramadan’s Community Matters programme, offering free legal advice in an aim to make legal advice more accessible.
This year the Radio Ramadan project raised over £34,000 which has been donated to various humanitarian charities, including the British Heart Foundation’s Mending Hearts Appeal and the Sheffield Royal Society for the blind.
The Lord Mayor, Dr Sylvia Dunkley attended the event and thanking the community for its hard work received a cheque for the contribution to her charity.
