Sandra is born and bred in the region, having been brought up in Maltby, Rotherham where she attended Maltby Comprehensive School. She left school age 17 and has worked for solicitors’ practices ever since. First of all in Rotherham, where she started her working life as an office junior and worked her way through (and up) various departments, including personal injury, matrimonial and divorce and ultimately chasing bad debts, issuing proceedings for them and attending court.
After 14 years in Rotherham, Sandra moved to work in personal injury and criminal departments in Sheffield for 9 years and then onto a practice based in Woodhouse, Sheffield, again dealing with personal injury and divorce matters - but this time with a bit of conveyancing thrown in! When this firm was taken over by a Doncaster practice, and closed, Sandra moved to the Doncaster office, once again dealing with personal injury matters such as vibration white finger, noise induced hearing loss, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, and asbestos claims.
After a further 12 years, Wosskow Brown was able to benefit from Sandra’s enormous experience, when she joined our Gleadless office in December 2008, dealing property matters (conveyancing), wills and probate matters. She has now joined our Attercliffe office, where she is currently relishing the chance to learn about a new area of law for her (not that there are many!) – commercial.
Sandra spends her spare time golfing (and going on golfing holidays) – she says it came as quite a surprise how much she found she liked golf when she took it up – and travelling. She particularly likes the more far-flung locations such as Thailand, Malaysia, Tahiti, and USA. She even manages to find some time to fit in her other hobbies of reading and cross stitch.
