Now a solicitor, Kiley previously qualified as a barrister. He was admitted to the English Bar in 1997 and the Malaysian Bar in 1998. In Malaysia, he practiced as advocate and solicitor in a top five firm and specialised in banking and commercial litigation, predominantly for large, multinational companies.
He remains a member of Lincoln's Inn, which is one of the four Inns of Court, which have played a fundamental role in preparing students for call to the Bar and their progress to professional competence as barristers for many centuries.
Returning to England in 2002, Kiley re-qualified as a solicitor and has since worked in firms in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, most recently, a mid-sized firm in Leeds.
He joined Wosskow Brown, to head up its commercial department in 2010. He specialises in dispute resolution and non-contentious commercial law and is known for his ability to quickly identify the crux of any matter, his approachability and being able to explain complex legal issues in simple terms. He speaks Cantonese and Malay.
Kiley lives in Sheffield, and having a young family, doesn’t get a great deal of time to himself. When he does, however, he enjoys all sports, particularly badminton, and is a self confessed ‘IT geek’ – unable to resist the latest gadgets!
