Government halts red tape for small businesses

In order to try to cut red tape, Vince Cable has announced a three-year moratorium on all new domestic rules for firms with fewer than 10 staff.

Alan Kennedy, employment solicitor at Wosskow Brown says "The government's intention here seems to be to support small business growth, but is it at the expense of employee rights?   Whether this measure will have a significant impact on business growth is something we will simply have to wait and see"
