The Wosskow Brown Foundation is launched!
In conjunction with the 25th Anniversary of the formation of Wosskow Brown Solicitors, the partners have come together to form The Wosskow Brown Foundation. This charitable Foundation will be built upon an already strong existing ethos that the firm follows, to give back and help the businesses, charities and individuals in the communities in which the firm operates.
When founding Partners Michael Wosskow and David Brown started out twenty-five years ago they were surprised that people were willing to give up their time to help them. Consequently, that approach is in evidence today as the firm seeks to help their clients solve their problems rather than just solely focussing on legal issues.
The Wosskow Brown Foundation will support:
• Business growth
• Charities, Social Enterprises and Sports Clubs
• People in sport from grassroots level
Senior Partner of the firm and trustee of the Foundation Michael Wosskow, could not be more pleased at the creation of the Foundation. “Reaching this 25th anniversary milestone has given us the opportunity to reflect on how much Wosskow Brown Solicitors has accomplished in this time. Our staff can be proud in the way we have given back to the community. We have always supported the various communities in which we are involved and the creation of the Foundation is a formalisation of that ‘giving.’”
The first initiative under the Foundation will be the WB 100 which aims to assist 100 businesses, 100 Charities/Social Enterprises and 100 individuals in grassroots sports through a formal programme and ad hoc support as they need it over the next five years. This will include 20 hours of individual support including an Inspirational Speaker series where key note speakers present their inspiring stories of success.
Managing Partner of the firm and trustee of the Foundation, Ian Brown says, “It’s all about supporting people of their journey and helping them to achieve their ambitions through taking lots of small steps. We will aim to be an important partner for our beneficiaries and will be looking to support them through successes and challenges that inevitably arise. We will put on regular and annual events to ensure those who engage with the Wosskow Brown Foundation feel part of a bigger family and support network.”
In launching the Foundation, Wosskow Brown is also answering a call from Government and Business Leaders for private sector business to do more to help grow the local economy, create new jobs and raise aspiration. Ian Brown says, “We cannot deliver these ambitious aims on our own and we hope that the fantastic group of entrepreneurs, business owners and professionals in the region will continue to give their time to help others as they have for many years. The region has a well-deserved reputation for this.”
