Sheffield student knocked down on bike after collision
A student and avid cyclist is left with a sprained wrist after a collision with a car on his way home in Broomhill, Sheffield.
The accident occurred in the busy area of Broomhill, as the driver hit the young cyclist resulting in the student being taken to hospital for x-rays and further medical examination.
The collision took place near the accident hotspot of Western Bank Road on a busy week day morning. Accidents in this area are common, and a large number of people attempt to cycle down the traitorous main road.
The driver at the time, was turning left into another busy road, and failed to see the cyclist utilising the road. As the driver turned, he swiped the cyclist as he attempted to cycle past. By wearing High Visibility, you can increase the chances of being seen by other road users.
