Most businesses run into problems at some point. These problems are often due to external circumstances, such as a major change in the marketplace or serious bad debts following the demise of a customer.
In many cases a business has the potential to survive such a setback but often the problem is so overwhelming that the business finds it difficult to continue trading.
We have many years experience in advising such businesses and in nearly all cases we have been able to find a way forward, either by restructuring that business through a company or partnership voluntary arrangement, or alternatively arranging for the sale of the assets of the old business to a new company. Many jobs can be saved and a better return achieved for creditors than there would be if the business were to cease trading and close.
We appreciate that where problems occur time is of the essence. We are able to meet with the proprietors or directors at short notice and usually find a solution within a few days.
